The mead here is absolutely delicious! The flavors are exactly as described, unlike at other places where you only catch faint hints of them. On our first visit, we tried a tasting flight, and during that experience, I felt like I became good friends with Joe, the mead maker. It was such a fantastic experience that we drove for two hours just to visit again. That’s when we met Melanie. After our second visit, both Me... View all feedback.
My son and I went to Windchaser for Mead Making 101. It was a birthday present for me. We had an excellent time! There are not enough accolades and superlatives to properly describe our experience and recognize our hosts for this class!!!We arrived early for a tasting. Melanie is an absolute joy! She welcomed us, provided excellent service, and made us feel completely at home. Joe is very knowledgeable, patient, and informative as he (and several others) leads you through the steps for making your own (hopefully delicious) mead.I promise, no matter why you visit Windchaser, you will have a blast and be treated like family! Whether you just want a tasting as an introduction to mead or you are looking for a wonderful evening learning to craft your own nectar of the gods, you cannot possibly go wrong with this delightful establishment.
Family run business with opportunity for tasting and the owners can describe each flavor in detail patiently. Pleasant store with a young Chihuahua pup yo greet you.
I cannot recommend this enough. Not just for the Meade, but for the people too.By far the best meadery we have ever been too. We travel frequently due to our jobs, and wine, beer, and meade tastings are always our jam wherever we go.Usually there a few when you do a tasting that just aren't your flavor, and I don't want to sound like I am blowing smoke, but literally every single one of the 12+ they poured for us were unique and tasted great in their own way. I left with an entire case, and will be signing up for the mail delivery because we aren't locals. They were the absolute best hosts, and we literally sat for HOURS just talking to them. They were so accommodating to us, and eager to talk and made us feel so at home. Felt like we left as friends. They are passionate about their business, and it showed in every aspect. The dogs are adorable and lovable too. :
Wow! Had a great time here! The meads are fantastic and the owners are very friendly and knowledgeable.
