Fireside Chophouse Grill - Williamsburg
Fireside Chophouse Grill
Description
Located in a nice area of San Pedro, this restaurant offers great service and very good food, with an amazing wine list. While some guests were disappointed with the service and food quality, others have been returning for years and recommend the place for top-notch steaks and prime rib. The speedy service may leave you hungry due to small portion sizes, but the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff make for a welcoming experience. An excellent choice for a nice meal in Monterrey.

Wonderful meal at the chophouse. My steak was hot and juicy just the way I like it. Fresh vegetables were seasoned well. Nice selection of sides available. Bar options were great as well. The staff is amazing. Very friendly and personable. We will beback soon.
This place is the best! We had homemade ranch dressing on our side salads. Fresh made sangria and homemade apple pie! Our steaks were delicious and the small prime rib was biggest than I expected! We also enjoyed the mashed potatoes. All round super goodsteak meals, great staff and very reasonable prices.
Wonderful beyond expectations! My wife and I dined here on 10/8/2022. We expected good, then discovered wonderful. The first-impression ambience was so peaceful, and the inside temperature was comfortable (both in contrast to our lunch elsewhere). The staff was friendly without being intrusive. The menu had exactly what we wanted: prime rib for me and a seafood combo forher. The steak was perfection, and honestly the best I 've had anywhere in many years. The seafood combo included flounder(which isn 't great everywhere, but was outstanding here), succulent scallops, really big shrimp, and hearty crab cakes. Sideswere yummy too: veggies and fries for us. Even the iced tea had a legitimate tea flavor without being too strong. Everythingwas so wonderful that we had to try the dessert. We were too full thanks to the generous meal portions, so we took home a sliceof coconut cream pie. It did not disappoint. We are tourists who drive ~150 miles to Williamsburg one or twice each year. We 've had good dining experiences at local restaurants here. Fireside Chophouse is the first one to make our must do list forreturn visits.
This restaurant received one star because I was happy to have food to bring home to my dogs. The porterhouse steak I ordered came out the first time well done when in fact I had ordered medium. After arguing with the waitress over the temperature of themeat she took it from me and returned with a new steak. The new steak had no flavor and tasted as if it was boiled. Thetemperature of the steak was inconsistent, as were the other two steaks my party had ordered. For an establishment to advertiseas a upscale restaurant that serves fine cuts of aged beef this must be the opinion of the owner and not the patrons. I wouldhave expected much more for a $32 dollar steak. I also ordered shrimp to go with my steak $20 . That tasted boiled as well andhad next to no seasoning. I 've dined in many establishments and this by far was the worst food I 've ever had. Again, this placereceived one star because my two dogs were happy to have a nice boiled steak to eat for breakfast the next day.
Great experience. Our waiter Wendell was amazing. Made us feel welcome and understood the menu and was able to make recommendations. The bar drinks were top notch. Long Island ice tea was the best I’ve ever had. Tasted great. We come once ayear and can’t wait to come next year. Definitely asking for Wendell! Thanks for making our family reunion even better!
