the village inn is good ol' classic eating, but they make better place for dessert! the French silk cake is our favorite. we sat immediately on our table and the waitress was very happy to begin with orders. the huh fried steak is hard to beat, compared to any place in the city; a good thick steak with exactly the right amount of crispy brot. it is so delicate that you can cut it with a fork. I was disappointed in my meal, which was cold, while my son's was okay. Our server brought our food and then threw our ticket on the table, never checking on us again. read moreDespite some recent disappointments, Village Inn offers classic American dining with standout desserts. Some customers experienced slow service and issues with their orders, but the food quality and portion sizes are consistent and satisfying. Standout menu items include the French silk cake and the country fried steak. The price point may be on the higher side for some diners, but the overall experience can be worth it. The friendly staff, particularly at a convenient location, provides a welcoming atmosphere for regular patrons. Though there have been some inconsistencies, Village Inn remains a go-to spot for many loyal customers.
