PickaPeppa is a wonderful little place that serves some of the tastiest Caribbean food we ever had. The chicken curry was tender and flavorful and the meat pies were out of this world. We liked this place so much we ordered takeout the following day - Rasta Pasta (a tasty pasta dish) and more meat pies. This was the first Carribbean food we've tried in Canada. It was all cooked nicely, but wasn't as flavourful as we're used to. Just tasted of all spice to me. Lacked the kick of chilli. View all feedback.
Very Amazing jerk chicken and oxtail. Love how tender the meats are, also love how they add roasted plantains. love how they add this salad mix with every meal (even if u get urs with rice), very nice mix of vege and fruits, nice mix of flavors.
I'm a softie for a place that does traditional everything right.Foods delicious. Roti Jerk Chicken and Fried Plantains. Both fantastic. Ordered a Ting and Rum and you actually get Ting which is cool.The place is small and not fancy which does more for the atmosphere than a bigger more modern place would.Of the restaurants in Whitehorse, this is in the top tier.Also,my Jamaican buddy went there with us one time and just straight up yelled the order into the kitchen which was hilarious and somehow worked. I don't reccomend doing that because the service was great. I think he just felt a little too at home.
Very tasty, and the custom spicy sauce we got was on point.Had the j chicken roti, and it was quite tasty. The j chicken salad might be a good option too.I'd go back to try the ox tail and goat for sure, I'd bet it would be very tasty and made authentic!
I ordered the coconut vegetable dish, which was served with a side salad and fried plantains. It was delicious and satisfying! I will definitely be returning next time I am in town.
The menu may have had limited options, but the meal was fantastic. I would give it a 5 out of 5.
