Roadhouse - Whitecourt

Its a Pub and the food is average at best. The service was okay, but since new management took over a few years ago, the place has gone down hill.

We had dinner at the Roadhouse on May 13th with several family members. This included a 10 year old and an 8 year old. The service was quick and efficient. Our orders were taken and the meals brought out in a very reasonable time period. The menu has a good selection including an all-day breakfast which one of the kids took advantage of. The food was quite good and reasonably priced.

Small menu but the food was very good and the prices were quite reasonable. The service was excellent, the waitress keep the coffee cup full and did not have to be asked for things like catsup and cream, etc.

Was there with family for a drink and a snack....the pub was way too noisy, loud music in a nearly empty room, so we sat in the nearly empty restaurant (on a Friday night no less) and had an appetizer platter with our drinks. Try to avoid the platter; it was not hot, gooey, soggy and really tasteless and quite pricey for something none of us liked and left alone even the limp dry veggies. Hope the rest of the menu was better, but will not chance it. The server, who was a little bored I think, was very friendly and eager to be of help.

After a long day on the road, my wife and I had our hearts set on a steak dinner with baked potato in quiet restaurant. We were delighted with the Roadhouse. Our steaks and potatoes were exactly as we hoped. The ambiance was warm and friendly and the service likewise. Judging from the other diners, it appears to be a local favourite, which is always a good sign. We were delighted with our dinner.
