Burger Baron - Whitecourt

Solid pizza and nice people at this classic joint that feels like the Alberta I remember from the 80's! Definitely worth a stop in Whitecourt AB (or maybe even a detour through... Came for the pizza which was highly recommended by locals and did not disappoint. Met the owner Walid who is just a super guy. I will be back!

Friendly owner. Poutine smothered in gavy. No traditional cheese curds but everything had good flavor. I have had better burgers and poutine at a hockey rink. The burger itself is unsustainable.

Don’t normally write reviews but in this case I felt I had too. I have been a regular customer at Burger Baron for years and the food was always good in the past but have noticed it going down hill for awhile now. Today Was really bad. I ordered poutine, which was cold, like it had been sitting for awhile. The donair had very little meat in it and what was there was burnt. Worst meal I’ve ever had at Burger Baron. Will not be supporting them anymore even though I have in the past especially during the restrictions. You need to up your game if you want to survive in these crazy times.

Stop and get a burger or shake you will not be disappointed as I have stopped here for a few times. The burgers and fries are big portions love the shakes and will stop next trip through. Prices are average.
