We were recommended to t... read more We have not had a Chinese Takeaway for a long time. Due to Covid our favourite Chinese the Royal Regent closed down and never reopened. We were recommended to try The Dragon Hing and did today 13/08/2023 at 5.00 pm Very small, very open plan and very spotlessly clean throughout. Staff were pleasant, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Food ordered was Chicken chow mein with extra added fried rice. Rice was a waste as the chicken chow mein portion was tasty huge with large chunks of chicken. Beef mushroom fried rice, really superb! Stater BBQ spare ribs excellent. Overall a huge portion for 2 greedy people. Pity we ordered bbq as a starter as the main course was more than enough. Then there was the FREE prawn crackers that we have not even opened yet. Overall opinion is 100% positive for quality, quantity, service price. We would recommend this place and go back again. The tiny place of Deans, Livingston has an unbelievable 4 Chinese takeaways and this tiny outlet that appears to be a mom, dad son operation easily completes on quality. I used to own a wholesale fruit and veg company 1980-1990 serving lots of Chinese outlets in the Lothians Borders and this is certainly one of the cleanest Chinese kitchens I have EVER seen.
