At Dobbies to buy some items for the garden. While we were there we decided to take advantage of my Loyalty Card and get the free coffee it entitled us to along with something to eat. Because of COVID restrictions diners have to queue up... View all feedback.
What dieselbloke doesn't like about Dobbies Garden World Livingston, Livingston:
Probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten. At 10am the food is over cooked and reheated and cold. I couldn’t even cut the sausage on my place. Black pudding was dry and obviously reheated. The toast wasn’t toasted and also cold. It also takes... View all feedback.
The restaurant had a lack of serving staff and was pricey. The bacon was soggy and the fried egg was overcooked, which was disappointing. I do not plan on dining there again.
The quality of the fruit scones at this restaurant has declined in the past year. It seems that whoever was baking them has lost their touch. If you eat one, be prepared to skip your swim later on. Recently, they've added a dog-friendly corner in the restaurant. While I don't mind dogs, I prefer sharing my dining space with other humans. It appears that the products are now given more space, indicating that something may be amiss.
I Have been going to dobbies for many years and I also take my dog dog all the time even through lockdown then , I have purchased many things very expensive stuff as well and I do understand that you have to be and I do understand that you have to pick up your dog Business but I was shocked when my dog went toilet wee And was nearly outside she didn't quite she didn't quite make it but it was still concrete floor create floor, I'll let the navy know I let The lady know straight away and it wasn't even a lot and it wasn't even a lot.. I said that she had been to the toilet she said don't go anywhere wait I will get some blue roll and cleaner and you must clean it . So I had to get the blue roll and mop it up it was so small the toilet . I said I can't get on my hands and knees as I have arthritis . Usually they do help you do it usually they do help you do it never mind it wasn't a number 2 but there we go customer service Dog friendly don't think so was made to feel like a criminal . I have been going for many years and a regular customer but just be warned you must mop up the wee, even if they do it outside
Took two elderly ladies for a coffee and cake as a treat. Both asked for a scone with cream and jam. They had been in the chiller and both said their scones were brick hard. (to the point that my elderly companion who was in her mid 80's was struggling to actually eat it) They didn't want me to make a fuss so wouldn't let me take them back to change them for something else. When they were otherwise distracted upon leaving I ducked back and spoke to management but they seemed pretty disinterested tbh. I was very dissapointed as this was a birthday treat for a little old lady who stays in an old folks home so doesn't get out much. I keep giving Dobbies a chance but they just can't seem to get it right! I'll take her to Hopetoun next time!
Food is overpriced. Panini for £8 was no panini but a bought in French bread roll. Very little filling. Not great quality. Dog friendly was the only reason we came. Very dissatisfied.
