What User doesn't like about Red Ribbon:
I tried their chicken and pork empanadas and I was hooked. Wished I had gotten a few more and also why I saw people buying it by the dozen! It’s filling and the right amount of dough! My other favorites here are the mocha and butter mamons. It’s like the most moist and yummy sponge cakes I’ve EVER had which is why I keep coming back, and now I have the empanadas as well. There’s a few locations of this bakery in LA t... View all feedback.
Hello po. I bought a good amount of pastries to take back to KC to enjoy with my family one of which was a tray of fresh ensaymada. they looked very good but the bread seems underbaked. it was very doughy still. not exactly sure what to do with the rest except throw them away. I hope the rest of the pastries will make up for my disappointment.
$15 for 6 individual packs of cheesy ensaimada? Why not! I was in need of this cheesy goodness, and I need more! Lol, there is plenty of parking space, though it can get crowded. The bakery itself also has plenty of space and some tables to enjoy your delicious treats. The service was great. You pick what you want and you pay for it. Quick and simple. The ensaimada is a delicious treat that you can get to treat yourself or buy a whole party tray for guests! They're so delish!
Drove by and decided to pick up some snacks for nostalgia. I remember trying this place for the first time decades ago. I think I'm too spoiled with newer bakeries that this place just seems too sweet and boring. The ingredients are as good as the competition, and prices are actually higher for what you get than places like 85 degrees or Paris baguette. It seems like this bakery hasn't modernized at all.
I am a regular customer at Red Ribbon although this is my first time to leave a reviewThroughout the years, I tried many cakes. My favorite cakes are Mango Cake and Ube Cake.Today I went for their empanadas.I got half a dozen of their delicious chicken empanada. Empanada now is 3.39 each. It is more expensive than other places but it has a very unique and savory taste. The crust is so soft and the filling is perfect. The place was clean and the service was fast.I will go again and again!
What's up: Celebrating a birthday and wanted to get an ube cake since my bro and our friends have a crazy obsession for it. I remembered seeing one of my fellow Yelpers post about an ube cake and after looking it up, I found myself staring at the website for Red Ribbon. I exchanged a few emails with the store when I found out I couldn't order the cake online. They explained to me that they were sold out due to the holidays but would get more in stock soon and the order form would open up then. True to their word, it did and I successfully scheduled my order! Parking: Located at The West Covina Center, parking is shared among the businesses and there were plenty of spots to choose from. Environment: Walking in, you'll see tons of baked goods on the shelf to the left and the cake display straight ahead. The order counter is located towards the right and there are a couple of tables available for indoor dining. I told the staff members that I was picking up an online order and they had the order information readily available. They went to get my cake and even opened the box to show me and confirm that it was the proper cake. Since it was a birthday cake, they offered to write the message on, but I told them it would be ok if they had a birthday sign. They gave me a little packet that contained a Happy Birthday sign that I could write on as well as birthday candles. What was ordered: Ube Overload (tons of ube flavor with little chunks of ube. Not too sweet and since there's not an overload of cream, it can run a bit dry) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. This was my first time trying an ube cake and it did not disappoint too much. The flavor was definitely there and the cake looked awesome. The only downside is that it can get very crumbly and make a mess. Pickup was fast and easy with friendly staff. Credit cards are accepted.
