Not only that but the food, especially the pork l... read more A great German restaurant in Solingen, though there were no menus in English, the staff was amazingly helpful. Not only that but the food, especially the pork leg/knee (which is their speciality), was delicious. Definitely a must go if want to try authentic German food. The only problem is that they only accept payment in cash, which isn't a deal breaker at all due to ATM next to the restaurant.

The dumplings and gravy were overcooked, the apple was unappetizing with a dollop of cranberry sauce, and the red cabbage was... mush. Stick to your mixed grill platters. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly. Oh, and it was too loud.

Then we were directly asked what we wanted to eat and drink. The entire experience was unfriendly, annoyed, and disinterested... unfortunately, it was even the owner who served us. As a result, we left the restaurant before even ordering.
