Had prime rib dinner and it was excellent. Had mixed berry pie for dessert, make sure you get it warmed because it is refrigerated. A lot of people were ordering the clam chowder so it must be really good and I will try it next time. Food was so good I forgot to take a picture. Brisket and chowder are amazing, prime rib is the best in town, everything else is pretty mediocre (not bad, which is good! and most of the prices make sense (except maybe the kid's meals . I would come here more often if the building had more space. They can't really accommodate for infants, it's just too cramped. This hidden gem served one of the best Chicken Fried Steaks I've ever experienced. It was incredible! Definitely a great value for the reasonable price.
The Cook Shack offers a warm, family-friendly vibe that makes dining there enjoyable. John's BBQ ranks among the best we've tasted, and Deb's soups are hearty enough to stand alone as a meal, particularly her clam chowder. It's become one of our favorite spots to gather with family and friends for a delicious meal.
What a fantastic restaurant! Honestly, the pork chop I had was the best I’ve ever tasted! My wife, who usually isn’t a fan of pork chops, ended up asking for another bite! It was that good! The prime rib is perfect, and the ribs are amazing, too! Take the drive to this place; it’s definitely worth your time, I promise. John, Deb, and the entire staff truly care about providing quality food and a great experience. Dining here feels like enjoying a meal with family, filled with warmth and love. Thank you, Cookshack! We will definitely be back, and we’ll be bringing our hungry friends along!
The food was great and the staff was even better. Our waitress was so attentive and sweet and the bison burger is KILLER! Seriously, so good. This will always be our go to spot when we?re in Weiser. Also, shout out to the great front patio. Itstayed pretty cool on a very hot day. Thank you!!
