Was Genesis Ferry at Bayside Pub a mag?
As always, it was fantastic! The ribs and chicken are the best I've ever tasted. The ribs literally fall off the bone, far better than at Sticky Lips or Dinosaur. The chicken was tender and juicy, the live band was amazing, and the scenery was stunning. I absolutely love the Bayside Pub! View all feedback.

What Sarah G dislikes about Bayside Pub:
My fiancé and I went to Bayside on Friday, August 14th and each got the fish fry. I had some coleslaw and tarter sauce with my meal, while my fiancé did not. Within an hour after eating I became very sick. I have heard that the coleslaw and tarter sauce sits out all day and it's very likely that it was bad. Please be careful about what you order here I would hate to see others get sick. I have eaten there a handful t... View all feedback.

We were warmly welcomed by a friendly and courteous staff who quickly attended to us, even though we were just a party of two. The seating consists mainly of picnic tables, which are fun and offer a nice view of the bay as you watch the boats pass by. If I had to point out something negative about the scenery, it would be that the docks might need some repairs, as they appear to be in disrepair. The atmosphere is peaceful, with most customers engaged in quiet conversations. However, we didn’t just come for the view; we were there to eat! My friend and I were immediately drawn in by the wonderful aroma from the grill; the menu choices looked enticing. That said, the prices seemed a bit high for a quick bite on a Monday evening. Don’t let that discourage you, though! While I can’t speak to the flavor of everything on the menu, the inviting smells were enough to make us eager to try something. We both ordered the chicken breast sandwich, and I must say it’s among the best, if not the absolute best, chicken breast sandwich in the city. The marinade was fantastic, and the chef grilled it to perfection. The bun was fresh and soft, just as it should be, and the salad was crisp and well-prepared. I even stopped by the kitchen to compliment the cook on the sandwiches! The fries were also excellent, especially if you enjoy crispy ones, which I certainly do! I'm pretty sure they use Lamb Weston for those who are food enthusiasts. Overall, this is a great place for a quiet yet enjoyable escape along a beautiful shoreline.

Beautiful, water-side setting and good food with plenty of portions; known for their onion rings and shells. Unfortunately, a corner of their deck under water is due to flooding from Lake Ontario, but that will end as the height of the lake drops. Yesterday was extremely crowded with a waiting for a table outside and not waiting for a table inside when we arrived.

It seems that this will be the last summer, you can enjoy a meal and a drink in this facility through the water at the northern end of the Irondequoit Bay as they seem to close this winter. How about a pint if you hear the live music and enjoy delicious barbecue facilities. I enjoy her Bayside Burger very much. The double bacon cheeseburger had great texture and was well seasoned. The soft baguette style role was a pleasant surprise. I look forward to visiting this West Webster gem on the shore before it's gone. The fish frit here is also a fantastic Friday option. Also note that this restaurant is a cash only business.

We both chose the New England Clam Chowder, which was superb. It had the perfect blend of clams, potatoes, and seasonings, and it wasn’t overly salty like some other places around here tend to be. The smooth consistency took me back to our vacation in Plymouth, Massachusetts—it was that good! Then we tried the Steam Pot, steamed in a Chardonnay wine sauce with Cajun and Old Bay seasonings. It came with clams, corn on the cob, salt potatoes, perfectly cooked shrimp, and andouille sausage. Our waitress, Monica, also brought out a condiment tray with five different sauces for us to try, though I only used the garlic butter on the corn—it was a hundred times better than what I’ve had at The Crab Shack. If you’re in the northeastern area of Irondequoit Bay, I highly recommend checking out The Bayside Pub and visiting Larry, Monica, and the rest of the staff. Please note that this is their last summer in business, as the Town of Webster plans to level the place for a park, despite not maintaining the parks they already have. If you're in the mood for fantastic seafood, don’t miss The Bayside Pub—you won’t be disappointed. Thank you again, Larry, for the recommendation. It truly was the best food we've had. Check it out; you’ll be glad you did!

I really love the atmosphere of this casual bar and restaurant. My husband tried the fish fry and he thought it was excellent. I had a taste and found it flaky and moist inside, while the outside was crispy yet not greasy! I enjoyed the flavor of the grilled shrimp, but it could use some sauce since it tends to be a bit dry. A splash of butter right off the grill could really help with that! The cocktails here are quite good, too. Unfortunately, our favorite clam appetizer has been removed from the menu, and we're really hoping it makes a comeback! To be honest, we mostly come for the view anyway! A note to the staff: we appreciate you wearing masks, but please ensure they cover your noses! Consider investing in a decent mask, or at least one with a wire to keep it in place while speaking. You can find good options for around $20 that are comfortable and stay put.
