We enjoyed a couple of cold ciders here yesterday. Sat outdoors under a brolly, watching the late afternoon traffic whizz around the roundabout. What an interesting activity I tell you! Lovely welcoming proprietor Emma is a friendly one. Ladies loo is clean and tidy. There are quite a few car park spacers beside the pub. Look forward to our return visit. Thanks Emma. What Lagabaggy doesn't like about The Black Lion Inn:
I dislike it when a pub welcomes dogs and serves food. It's not hygienic. The food was poor, all from frozen. Luckily we live far away and dont have to go back. Even when visiting there are plenty of better places to eat View all feedback.
Was looking forward to having lunch here on my birthday we looked online and saw the kitchen shut at 3 which was perfect for us as we were on route somewhere and this was to be a nice stop for lunch. Arrived at 2:45 to be told they stop doing food at 2:45 no sandwiches nothing. Very disappointing. I would say, if you stop doing good at 2:45, why not say you do. Even the sandwich board says lunch served til 3pm.
This pub is fantastic, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Chelsea, the landlady, is lovely and makes everyone feel welcomed.
We stayed here for a night whilst attending a wedding locally. My wife did the check in earlier in the day so my first experience was arriving at about 1:30am...rather tipsy. Upon waking up I was a little confused as to where I was but...
