We have been coming here for a long time and the food and service is always great but when we visited recently I was very disappointed with the meal (ie quiche... read more We have been coming here for a long time and the food and service is always great but when we visited recently I was very disappointed with the meal (ie quiche and salad which in the past has been lovely but the potion size was so much smaller this time and my daughters noticed theirs too....I appreciate its difficult times but it was very noticeable...I will still come but sadly not so often.

All were washed down with a very large glass of wine each for £5.99 a glass which was excellent value. The bramble crumble slice was lovely and fruity, but the treacle tart was the best we had ever had. You can never fault the service at the Nutmeg, some high-end establishments could learn a lot from this team. Thank you for a lovely family meal we all enjoyed it so much. You do need to book to be sure of a table, even in the winter months.
