Awesome views at sunset!! Great beer! Prime rib is delicious and the shrimp quesadilla my wife had was great! Definitely a wonderful place to watch the sun go down while eating great food and sipping on a cold beer! We will be back!
Dropped by for a late lunch. This bar and grill is new to us. What a great find. While out and about doing some shopping we decided to grab a bite.you need to look at the menu before entering. Walk up to the bar order pay. Take a seat outside with abeautiful view of the sound and kite surfers. We started with the Watermans seafood guactail. This is almost a meal in itself.A huge portion of lump crabmeat and there in house guacamole stacked high served with crispy tortilla chips. We also orderedSurf?s Up Seafood Platter. A grilled jumbo shrimp skewer, crab cake a choice of our local tuna or mahi prepared blackened withtartar sauce. We ordered the mahi. This comes with two sides. We ordered the black bean and corn salad and coleslaw. We also hadthe Watermen?s House Salad Which was topped with a black bean salad, salsa, pepper jack cheese, crushed tortilla chips cilantro lime dressing. We had chicken added. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. Great portion sizes. Everyone was veryfriendly and helpful.we spoke to a couple next two us. Who enjoyed there meal was surprised how good everything was. We will becoming back.
Waterman?s is always great, you place your order at the bar then go find a seat and they bring everything out to you. The food is seasoned well, but If you?re not used to a lot of seasoning you might find the tuna bites and crab cakes salty. Pictured arethe crab cakes with black bean salad and chips. The other is the surfs up seafood platter with mahi. The grilled mahi is thebest thing I had the whole week. Would be nice to have some better lunch side options, but it was all delicious. The serverswere great too.
We loved the vibe of this place. Laid back, good music, good drinks, good food. Simple tables outside where you could watch the sunset. Be warned if you come early it will be very sunny, but in my opinion the view is worth it. Veggie fajitas are reallygood. And the pain killer drink was my favorite. We actually went back a second time during our week in Rodanthe, so that shouldtell you something.
Excellent lunch spot right on the water. I had some grilled shrimp with a black bean salad and both were excellent. The ordering process is sort of strange. You order and pay at the bar, but then you go sit down and a server brings everything to you. Notsure why they don't just take your order. I also wasn't sure whom I was tipping when I paid. The bartender? The runner? I alsodon't like reading a big sign explaining the ordering process before I even walk in. Aside from that, the view was great. Theservice was excellent. Everyone in my party really enjoyed the food. It came to about $75 for 3 adults and 1 kid, no alcohol. Ifelt fine paying that for the quality and location.
