Description

The Blyth Hotel in Southwold offers comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts, especially the eggs Benedict and smoked salmon. However, the evening meals received mixed reviews, with some guests finding the food underwhelming and the restaurant decor outdated. Despite some improvements needed, the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere were highlighted in several reviews. Overall, the hotel provides good value for money and is conveniently located near the beach. While some guests had minor issues, such as parking and slow service, others praised the attentive service and delicious meals, making it a viable option for a stay in Southwold.

Went with two friends,it had the feeling they didn't know what they were doing. We all had the chicken which was cooked really well but the potatoes and peas were very poor and boring. We were drinking G&Ts which were the worst I'd ever had. How can you get something some basic so wrong. Will not be returning plenty of much better places to eat

The restaurant offers delicious food, a pleasant ambiance, and gluten-free choices. The staff is friendly and the bar is cozy. The recent change in ownership has had a positive impact on the overall experience.

Food was nice but nothing special.we were the only ones in there on a Friday night which says something I suppose. A little on the dear side for what it was. though a pleasurable experience.would we eat there again I don't know. No daily specials as advertised

This was our second visit and how unlike our first! Our room was freezing and when we spoke to management they proved totally unhelpful. We where going to have a meal in the bar but on this visit the fire wasn't alight and the room was cold and uninviting. I wouldn't recommend it especially. It is only a short walk into the centre of Southwold though.Breakfast in the reastaurant was good enough.
