I ordered the beef brisket I have never seen such a large slab of meat cooked to absolute perfection in my life! My son had one if the hugest burgers he has ever seen, and although he's a big eater, the burger beat him!! The desserts were gorgeous and beautifully presented too. The staff are absolutely lovely and very attentive. We will definitely be returning soon!

We were surprised to find only three medium-siz... read more I went to this restaurant with some friends on August 30th. My wife and I ordered the tiger prawns as a starter. We were surprised to find only three medium-sized prawns on a plate with a small amount of rocket, and no bread. The price worked out to nearly £3 per prawn, which seemed expensive compared to what I usually pay for prawns. For our mains, two of us ordered the chicken pie. It was essentially a bowl of chicken casserole with a separate pie crust on top, along with a red wine sauce - a strange combination. I was looking forward to the cheese board for dessert, but was put off by the high price of £12. In France, cheese is a common dessert option on menus, and I have only seen it offered as a normal dessert option at the Fox and Goose, where they provide four local cheeses. The ambiance and service at the restaurant were great, but unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations. Despite having enjoyed dining at the Wine Vaults in the past, this particular experience was disappointing.

Risotto was so vinegary and had a lot going on, the lamb burger was very compact with not much flavour. Chips were good and plenty of food, just shame about the taste.

Nice place friendly good food good service. Music a little to loud.
