Mixed opinions on the Crazy Canuck, with some customers praising the delicious food and great service, while others were left disappointed by errors in their orders, slow service, and a dirty atmosphere. This restaurant is located in a corner next to an antique store near Jacobsen market. There are only a few indoor dining tables, but they have a spacious patio that is pet friendly. It is self-service at the counter where they provide a buzzer to alert you when your food is ready. The poutine was outstanding with cheesy, creamy sauce and fresh cut potato fries. The Halifax garlic fingers had a delicious smell and taste. We also enjoyed their own beer, The Crazy Canuck, which was quite good. We would definitely return to this place and are happy to have discovered it.
My son noticed that this restaurant had good reviews and we are always open to trying new places. So we decided to take a chance, and we were not disappointed. The food did take a bit of time to be prepared, but it was a Sunday at 2:30 and there wasn't much traffic in the area. However, the food was very delicious. The pizza had generous toppings and a crispy crust. The boneless dry ribs were tossed in their Canuck sauce which added to the great flavor. The fries were cooked perfectly. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.
We were in the mood for fresh cut fries and saw the reviews which sounded great. I am convinced someone is paid to write them. This place is disgusting from the dirty door which looked like it had never been cleaned to the very tired interior. A take out order of fries took 20 min and it was an extremely quiet evening. We debated about eating on the picnic tables outside but when we saw how dirty it was we ate in our car. While waiting I saw trip advisor banners hanging up for excellence and I was totally shocked. I don't think the health inspector has been there in years! The fries were good and there was plenty but they are not a bargain and it seemed very pricey considering the sad and dirty atmosphere. What a disappointment.
What an amazing place! It's a hidden gem. Everything is epic and the staff are awesome. Fish Fridays, call your order in early before you miss out.
As someone who travels frequently for work and dines at many different places, I can say that the Crazy Canuck burger is not only massive, but also absolutely delicious! The service is outstanding at this restaurant, making it a must-visit whether you live in the area or are just passing through. As a fan of Five Guys, I must admit that this place surpasses it in every category.
