I want to thank Jordan for the amazing service she provided at the restaurant! She was very friendly and welcoming. My friend and I tried the Mac n cheese grilled cheese with sweet potato fries, buttermilk pancakes, and bacon, and everything was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return to take on the godfather challenge with some friends next time!
My friend and I had an absolutely delicious lunch at this restaurant. I can honestly say that the chicken rice soup was the best soup I have ever had outside of my own home. My friend ordered the French toast and she absolutely loved it. The waitress was incredibly kind and patient with my elderly companion, even though it was very busy with the lunch rush. I have been to many expensive restaurants where the staff does not seem to appreciate older customers with questions, but this young lady was a breath of fresh air. She was always smiling and made our lunch a truly enjoyable experience. We have decided that this will be our new spot for weekly lunches, and we cannot wait to try the dessert next time as it looked heavenly.
Located in the UWaterloo plaza, this restaurant is one of the best spots for dining in. The vintage-style setting creates a great ambiance. The menu offers a variety of options for all-day breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The service is relatively fast, but there may be a 10-15 minute wait during peak times due to the busy nature of the restaurant.
Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Our group was around 13 people and there were lots of space early in the morning when it first opens (it does get quite busy later in the day and in the evenings/nights). The ambiance is bright with retro designs and very aesthetic. The food itself is good. Got the Lobster Benedict the poached egg was cooked well but the fries were a bit on the drier side. Mel’s is also known for its milkshake so those are a must try! Overall great diner to try if in t
This is a classic breakfast spot near campus. Just go with some friends and grab a booth. The food isn't anything special to be honest, but the vibes are good. I'd recommend their Chicken Waffle Benny and I'd probably steer clear of the Buffalo Chicken Poutine. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't enjoyable to eat in terms of texture and flavour.
