The Bauer Kitchen - Waterloo

The kitchen staff doesn’t really seem to understand what celiac means. I was brought out food that was NOT safe even though it’s marked as GLUTEN FRIENDLY it most certainly was not. I introduced myself as a celiac, I questioned my dish when it was brought out and I’m glad I did!! Anything fried is CC’d. I’m not sure how safe the grill is but it seemed to be ok though I was a little tummy off after I ate. I’m not sure id be quick to go back.

I always love going to the Bauer Kitchen. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent.

The service at this restaurant was outstanding. Our dishes were delicious, especially the perfectly cooked steak.

Immediately greeted with a very personable hostess, who knew we may be coming from our Daughters convocation. Nicely decorated space. Extensive menu selections. Take away bakery onsite. Food was very good 8/10. Server was very pleasant. Can’t wait to go back!

A vegan and a friend who's celiac went for lunch .... how wonderful not to feel like a third class citizen and have a separate menu for each. Loved it. Server brought a little birthday cake (which was both vegan and gluten-free) without a request. Will definitely go again. If it's a little cooler, the outdoor space will be wonderful!
