It had been a while since we last visited this restaurant, but my wife and I were in the mood to try something new so we decided to give it a shot. What a pleasant surprise it was when all of our dishes turned out to be fantastic! The bruschetta bread was exceptional, my wife's pulled pork sandwich was delicious, and my chicken Schnitzel sandwich was outstanding. The chili chickpea soup was also amazing and the salad was fresh. The service was good and friendly, and we are looking forward to returning in the future.
We absolutely love their home fries and the eggs are always cooked perfectly to our liking. The service is attentive and we appreciate that. As picky coffee drinkers, we also enjoy their coffee.
We have been coming to this restaurant with different family members for the past 10 years, usually a few times a year. My husband also comes here with his work colleagues before work sometimes. In the past, the food has been consistently good, around 3-4, and the service has been okay, around 2-4 depending on how busy it is. On our most recent visit, my father-in-law treated us to breakfast. It was a quiet Sunday when we arrived, and there were plenty of tables available, but we needed one for 5 people. We didn't mind waiting for a larger table to be cleaned, but we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff. We understood that maybe someone was having a bad day. There were already two tables with families and small children who needed a lot of attention, so we were patient. After a few minutes, we were seated and the kids were quickly served coffee and chocolate milk. We ordered without any issues, but things went downhill from there. Most of us received our meals hot and delicious, but my father-in-law's pancakes were cold and missing sausages. After microwaving them, the Manager told us they were cold because they had been sitting for 15 minutes (it was actually only 3 minutes). When we asked for more coffee, the Manager returned with a bad attitude. My husband confronted her about her behavior and the wrong order. The Manager's only apology was sarcastic, and the exchange ended with us deciding not to return. We were disappointed to lose one of our favorite breakfast spots. The location was great, but the service was lacking.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Our glasses came full of red lipstick (neither of us were wearing). The salad that normally comes with bacon came without. First we were told it never comes with it (we had it the week before and it did come with it) and then we were told that they were out (while we were eating wraps THAT HAD BACON IN THEM). When politely requesting a discount the manager (within an earshot) made very nasty comments about us. We spoke with the manager and she was just incredibly argumentative, and apparently we should get used to glasses being dirty becuase that happens everywhere and all the time . It was overall a very negative experience.
I feel like this place has gotten better over the last couple of years. My wife and I used to go for breakfast on the weekends. Since having kids had has become a favourite place for weekend breakfasts. The food is standards breakfast fare but the experience of seeing the planes come and go makes for a nice environment. I recently had the opportunity to eat lunch here a few times and was very impressed. The menu items are not very complex but they are well executed and tasty. I look forward to going back again, and again.
