The food is prepared with care using fresh ingredients - for example, the coleslaw is homemade, not from a container. We tried the fish tacos, schnitzel, and local brew and highly recommend them. We used to frequent this place heavily during our university days, so it's great to see it still running so well.

The Huether Hotel has become one of my favourite places to go to in Uptown with there being so many amenities to enjoy such as pool, the cafe, jazz room, etc. H... read more The Huether Hotel has become one of my favourite places to go to in Uptown with there being so many amenities to enjoy such as pool, the cafe, jazz room, etc. However, I was really disappointed to see that I was not able to have a meal there as there is no vegan menu, let alone any vegan options on their current menu. This is very bothersome for me as I would like to enjoy ALL of the facilities they have to offer, especially something like dining. All they suggested was to remove the cheese or other dairy products, but this takes so much away from the meal itself. I would highly encourage the Huether to add vegan options to their menu making it a place for everyone to enjoy. I know many vegans who would support the business if having these options. I hope the owner would consider this request as it is important to me as someone who would like to continue going.

The food is fantastic, especially the pork tacos - kudos to the chefs! This is also one of the few places in the area with a pool hall. Don't miss out on visiting the patio!

It's such a cozy spot to enjoy a delicious coffee and relax with a good book.
