Description

The restaurant offers a stunning view and elevated atmosphere, perfect for special occasions and date nights. However, some guests experienced slow service, especially during private events, and cold, bland food during restaurant week. Despite these issues, many highlighted the exceptional service, delicious dishes, and unique whiskey cocktails made by skilled bartenders. The speakeasy concept was praised for its fun ambiance, secretive vibe, and impressive drink selection. The menu, which includes salads, flatbreads, and creative desserts like Brie brûlée, was well-received by diners. Overall, Thea is recommended for its fresh, local ingredients, fantastic service, and memorable dining experience.

Absolutely divine spot for a drink when you really want to settle in and relax the mixologist uses fresh squeezed juices and handcrafted concoctions that elevate the cocktails to pure pleasure. Views of Georgetown and down the river are lovely. Bring a hair clip it can be windy up there!

We had no idea that there was a private event happening at the same time as our reservation. It took over an hour to get our cheese platter. We would have appreciated a heads up on the situation instead of dragging out the food.

This place is not what it used to be, two or three years ago I would have given this place five stars as it was a true “speakeasy”, today it is just an average bar with a passcode. None of the drinks are truly special and are all watered down. The servers have zero personality and there is no magic or uniqueness that you expect from other speakeasy. The current owners have cheapened the experience and feels like dining at an average hotel bar on a business trip. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
