The Delegate

The Delegate
3.2 / 5 (490 reviews)

Description

The Delegate offers decent food with friendly service, but reviews are mixed. While some praise the quality of the food and the friendly staff, others complain about slow service, high prices, and lack of attention from servers. The rooftop setting provides nice views, but the overall experience seems to vary depending on the day and time. The modified menu and limited service options may disappoint some patrons. Despite some positive aspects, such as the salmon salad and crab cake, the overall consensus seems to be that The Delegate falls short of expectations in terms of service and value.

The service was not good. I don’t know if something was going on but the restaurant was pretty empty. We waited 20 min to get someone to take our orders and I had to haggle them down to give the Diet Coke we ordered. I was very dissatisfied with theservice especially given the price and how nice this establishment should be.

Drinks were interesting but very sweet — kind of closer to generic Applebee’s cocktails. Not a bad thing. Their tomato basil soup was very good. One staff member rolled her eyes at my friends and me. The setting in a hotel lobby is kind of weird andbright, but the bar was neat.

I made a reservation for Easter brunch. The food was tasty, but there wasn't a special atmosphere created for the occasion. Overall, though, they did a respectable job.

The server was excellent and very knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. I wasn't aware beforehand that the restaurant had high top bar tables, which made it a bit loud, but overall it was a nice experience.

Name on open table starting as “milk honey” was entirely misleading. The hostess did not seem happy when me and several other groups were asking about the name considering it’s only a few items on the menu from milk honey. Food was tasty but would’ve wanted to know if I was preparing to sit in a hotel lobby for a brunch at the wrong restaurant.
