Description

The Airedale restaurant in DC offers a mix of experiences, as highlighted by various reviews. While some diners have praised the food quality, especially dishes like best friend pickles and arancini, others have criticized the slow service and lack of attention from staff. The bar scene can get crowded, which may be a pro or a con depending on individual preferences. Overall, Thea has received positive feedback for its exceptional service and fresh ingredients in dishes like seafood pasta and veal Milanese. The restaurant is known for its cozy ambiance and is a BYOB establishment, making it a popular choice for many diners. The staff at Airedale couldn’t have been more accommodating. Ours was a large group with a few cancellations and a couple of toddlers, and the staff was laid back and incredibly helpful. Would absolutely go back.

I made a brunch reservation only to be told at the door that The Airedale doesn’t accept reservations on Game Day. This wasn’t indicated anywhere on Open Table and the bartender was a bit confused/rude when we tried to ask clarification. Ended up scrambling to find a new place for our large group without notice during a holiday weekend.

The music at the restaurant was fantastic, thanks to Biscuit The Drummer and Bassist Mr. D Turner. The food appeared to be delicious, but unfortunately my order never arrived. I ended up spending $100 on a hookah and a bottle of champagne.

This was one of the worst bar experiences I have had in DC. I walked into an empty place on a Sunday afternoon to have a beer and watch a game. Jesse the bartender recommended a beer, so I ordered that with fries. However, I didn't like the beer and the bartender said it was a hazy, when it wasn't. Despite this, I apologized to the bartender and ordered a different beer. I asked to close out, but 25 minutes later I still hadn't been closed out and the bartender never put in the order for the fries. I left having only drank half a beer with a $20 tab. I won't be returning to this place.
