What User likes about Sushi Gakyu:
Fatty tuna was dry. Personally speaking no uni and tako was too salty. We did want to sit on the sushi counter and order omakase but they told us it was closed and we can’t change our menu, so that was a bit pressure into the meal. Service was okay. We feel it should be more customizable, like adding more sushi, they should of ask us first instead after meal and we didn’t even get the more expensive meal. Over all it... View all feedback. What User doesn't like about Sushi Gakyu:
Food was great but only one server for the whole resturant. Plus he was also the bartender. He tried hard but in a Sat night they needed more help. Other reviews note struggling service quality and I would agree. Food was excellent but some of it looked worn and tired a bit! View all feedback.

read moreSushi Gakyu offers a mixed experience for diners. Some found the service slow and portions small, while others enjoyed a pleasant meal with delicious food and a lovely ambiance. The sushi was a hit with some, while others found the fish less fresh. Despite mixed reviews on service quality, the standout was excellent miso soup and fresh nigiri. Overall, the restaurant is recommended for those looking for quiet ambiance and quality sushi, but may disappoint in terms of service speed and freshness of fish.
