While some diners found the food to be just okay and the service a bit slow, others praised the flavorful dishes and top-notch service. The ambience at the restaurant was widely appreciated, with highlights including the soft and flavorful chicken satay, spicy Tom Yum soup, and fantastic Panang curry. Despite mixed reviews on some dishes, the overall consensus is that Soi 38 is a must-visit spot for those seeking tasty Thai cuisine in a charming setting.
The best Thai restaurant in the East Coast. Worth every second of my visit to DC. I’ll be back next year with my wife. And order the same thing: shrimp rice with pineapple and cashews (Khao Pad Sapparod). And for dessert: ginger ice cream. Service was awesome as well.
We tried a lot of dishes and some we like, some we didn’t. But over all great experience. I would recommend Lemongrass Yuzu Fizz and lemongrass yuzu fizz for drinks.Food: 5/5
Absolutely loved my visit to Soi 38! The ambience was delightful, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the staff was attentive and friendly. As for the food, it was simply delicious! The rice dishes, shrimp, and noodles were bursting with flavors, and the portions were just right. Plus, they ensured that the food arrived on time. A definite go-to spot for tasty Thai cuisine with a fantastic overall experience! Highly recommended!
Thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Soi 38. The restaurant is busy with an Eclectic clientele and has a good vibe. The menu is populated with interesting options as well as a few of the traditional Thai dishes. Service was efficient and timely. The food was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Definitely recommend the baked shrimp. Will be back and also will try it's sister restaurant which provides a traditional Thai menu.
My husband and I decided to try this restaurant during our stay in DC. We made reservations online and we were seated on time. I ordered the pad khing and my husband had Khao soi. We both enjoyed our dishes. Probably the best flavor of Khao soi we've had since we visited Thailand. It is pretty spicy but super flavorful. Service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. A good choice for a Thai craving
