Was esi shakiba at Purple Patch a mag?
I'm low key glad I don't live in the area because I'd be there all the time. The calamansi tea was extraordinary and the ube pancakes may have ruined all other pancakes for me. I went with my family and everyone loved their food. A definitely a must try. View all feedback.
What Bessie Blick dislikes about Purple Patch:
Monday, 1st august with a friend who was recommended to the place. ambiente? the seats in the free tipper noticeable; silver goods do not stay in the place and Metro buses blow out exhaust customs away. the waiters were prompt, pleasant and helpful. we eat for dinner. I ordered fried fish that were so overcooked that was little edible. it was dark, dry and hard, and looked like it had been fried several times. a stra... View all feedback.
Generous portions and unbelievable service. Would go back 1000%!
Excellent food service. Crab stuffed red snapper was great with an actually really good side salad. Get the banana bread w Ube ice cream dessert — just the right amount of sweetness. Only disappointment (not pictured) was the papaya salad — kinda dry like it had been sitting awhile.. not sure if that’s the intention of the dish. Overall, recommend!
I recently went to Purple Patch for my close friend’s birthday. He chose this place from previous recommendations given by his family. I look at the food prior to coming, but I had low expectations. After dining there I can honestly say that my expectations are blown out of the water. Our server Ky (or Kai) did a great job giving us the full scope of the menu and different options we had as we were ordering our appetizers and entrées. We ordered enough food for the three of us to be satisfied. First we order the sweet pork skewers, grilled miso wings, crispy eggplant and the brussels sprouts. They were all awesome. My favorite was the brussels sprouts. Following we ordered three entrées. An item from the pork, seafood, and beef section. The ambience of this restaurant was very homey. Our seat was comfortable lounge couch. We spent about 2 1/2 hours there celebrating my friend’s birthday. I definitely look forward to coming back.
I was visiting DC and a friend suggested we try this Phillipino restaurant near Adams Morgan. I 've never had this style food, so why not? We were seated quickly (they don 't take reservations) and the menu is on a QR code. The first thing listed are therestaurant 's set of rules, the first being that you will be charged a 20% service fee. I 've seen this at some resortlocations but I looked around and didn 't see a beach anywhere. Upon being seated they also ask for a phone number, which Ifound curious. Why? We started with the fried egg roll appetizer and they were just alright. For dinner we ordered a chickenskewer dish and pork with garlic fried rice. It was very good and the portions were generous. The server was very friendly andattentive. For dessert my friend ordered the ube bread pudding which was just OK. Overall a decent experience but they wouldhave had a better tip if they ditched their rules.
I had a great time out with friends for brunch this Saturday! We each got a different drink and taste tested with the provided straws each was delicious. My cantaloupe frose was a little less sweet and very cold, so nicely refreshing on a hot day. I hadthe chicken adobe hash and wish I lived closer so I could come back more often to get it again. Super moist and flavorfulchicken. My friends got the Frozen Rainbow Kisses and Frozen Spicy Mango Margarita to drink, and then had the pork skewers andUbe cinnamon toast, and breakfast pork belly sandwich to eat. We recommend them all! The patio is really cute, although bewarethe bees, and the meal price was very reasonable.
