Great food and very good service. Our server took him time with us and never made us feel rushed. This is my 3rd or fourth time at this restaurant and it never disappoints! View all feedback.
What Rogelio Hirthe dislikes about Oyamel:
we often gedinted at oyamel when we lived near dc. we came back and were somewhat disappointed. the food was still very good, but the wonderful cocktails with special attention to details, such as large, flavored ice balls and flowers were from the menu. we sat in a large stand without back support, which was unpleasant and the temperature of the restaurant was quite cold. not sure we would go back if in the opposite... WoW! Incredible food, incredible margaritas, and incredible vibe! Would eat here again in a heartbeat
Had an awesome authentic Mexican food experience here at Oyamel! Loved the decor and minimal wait for a table! The food here is excellent! They provide unlimited chips also salsa which were very tasty and have really nice glasses for water andbeverages. The food was really delicious and reasonably priced. You can do small plates or family style. We tried many of theoptions all really tasty and filling. Our waitress was very nice and really helpful with ordering. The watermelon mojito thatwas recommended was insanely cool and delicious! Overall great experience and perfect food option when you are in DC.
The place was busy but we were able to get a table. They warned us that the food portions are small so we ordered a few things. It was good to get a taste of multiple dishes. We also ate quite a few chips with the spicy homemade salsa. Our wait staff wasvery attentive and the food was very good.
