Contribute FeedbackMorton's has received mixed reviews recently. While some diners were disappointed with the overpriced, mediocre food and rushed service, others raved about the delicious steaks and excellent service they experienced. The restaurant seems to be in need of some updates and improvements to ensure a consistent dining experience. Despite some negative feedback, diners still appreciate the friendly staff and unique atmosphere. Ultimately, Morton's appears to be hit or miss, with some patrons willing to return for the outstanding dishes and service, while others may be put off by the high prices and lackluster experience.
It was a pleasure to eat at Morton’s Georgetown! Danny our server was friendly and able help guide my friends and I to the chefs seasonal specials! All of which were outstanding! We loved sitting on the patio and enjoying the ambiance outside. Thank you to Ram the GM, the other servers and bartender who made our night so much fun!
Great food and ambiance! The price is a bit expensive but food quality is top notch.
This restaurant was just okay. The drink menu only had cocktails and dessert wines, so we had to ask the bartender about scotch, bourbon, and other options. The bartender seemed clueless about the choices. They were also out of some of the wines we wanted from their extensive wine list. The baked escargots had bread puffs on top that were too strongly flavored with burned butter, so we couldn't eat them. The manager removed them from the bill. The steaks, salads, and side dishes were good. The service was okay, but not outstanding. I wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion where you want a more refined experience.
The Fillet was decent, but for the price, it should be better. The same goes for the wedge salad. The iced tea was not great either. However, the service was friendly and prompt from all staff, including the wait staff.
I have been dining at Morton's in Georgetown for years and almost always have an excellent experience. My most recent meal was no exception in terms of fine food, service and atmosphere. It was a very quiet evening, so perfect for catching up with an old friend who was in town on business. My only advice for wine drinkers is to choose with care. Mark ups on some of your favorites have climbed to about 400%. A wine list like that might just turn me into a tea totaler.
