What danchaim doesn't like about Lauriol Plaza:
In the interests of full disclosure, I will have to say that I’m not really into Mexican food and I can’t remember exactly how whatever I ordered tasted like. But I can say that the swirl margaritas are worth standing around waiting for a table for 2 hours (maybe that’s why I can’t remember). They are a must have. This place, to me, seems more like a place to stand and be seen rather than a place to sit and eat, but... View all feedback. What GastroEclectico likes about Lauriol Plaza:
Unique, tasty, well done enjoyable! We’ve been visiting Lauriol Plaza since it was the tightest, smallest and crampiest little old house to dine in DC yet with exceptional cuisine! They’ve not given up their incredible goodness for style, space and looks! For many years we’ve enjoyed dining here, they never fail in the service, quality, variety, ambience and uniqueness of it all. Whether dining open air or inside, th... View all feedback.

Lauriol Plaza is a well-known restaurant in Washington, DC that offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The swirl margaritas are highly recommended, and the food is consistently great, whether dining indoors or outdoors. The fish soup is a standout dish, with fresh fish and a flavorful broth that rivals even international favorites. Vegetarians will find delicious options like warm nachos with salsa and portobello quesadillas. The ambiance is always lively, making it a popular spot for a night out with friends. Despite the crowds, the service remains excellent. Overall, Lauriol Plaza is a must-visit for both those new to Latin cuisine and seasoned gourmands.
Great food and an amazing atmosphere. This will be my “go-to” when in DC from now on.

Lauriol plaza is a fairly firm place to get tasty and quite expensive Mexican food. I've been here a couple times and I was happy with everyone.
This place is the best! Good seating for groups and the chips are so addicting and the queso is divine.
It is a nice place for a casual dinner! I had the `ropa vieja´and the plate was so big!! I had half for lunch the day after.
