I've been fan of garrison for two years since I moved to dc. it was always a reliable place with good ingredients large recipes and good service. I've died 10 to 15 times over two and a half years. When I read this morning that tonight was the last night of the service, I was appalled and booked a table immediately, especially because a good friend I met was there in the city. unfortunately the last experience was very bad. garrison has not taken care of us and has not appreciated our reservation; they have not fulfilled their engagement, and we went elsewhere and had a great time, but we have missed what a big sayonara would have been a great place. I wish the best to cook. but I will now go with a question to his next place as he treats faithful guests. I will give a more detailed brief to the washington post and the new york times. this place was good enough to guarantee a watch.
Garrison is one of the few places I found in the year where I lived here that I really love. they are consistently warm, welcoming, unpretentious, with delicious food and drinks. I'm so sad to close them. the neighbour will not be the same without them!
I've been in garrison twice. the first time was great. the second time, but they would think the kitchen had never prepared for a whole house. 1 of our 3 apps came 45 minutes after the order, followed by our net. the service has told us that the kitchen was so secured that it no longer prepared apps. one of the members of our party found their eating cold and the garlic totally darkened. it's a shame because I expected more
I’ve been a fan of Garrison for two plus years since I moved to DC. It always was a dependable reliable great place with good ingredients great recipes and good service. I dined 10 to 15 times over two and a half years. When I read this morning that tonight was the last night of service I was dismayed and booked a table immediately and especially because a good friend who I had met there was in town. Unfortunately the last experience was very poor. Garrison didn’t take care of us and didn’t honor our reservation; they didn’t meet their commitment to us and we went elsewhere and had a great time but, you know, we missed what might’ve been a great sayonara to a great place. I wish the chef the best. But I’m going to go to his next place with a question in mind now about how he treats loyal guests. I’ll be providing a more detailed letter to the Washington Post and the New York Times. This place was good enough that it warrants a watch.
