Others praised the stunning presentation and delicious flavors of dishes like crostini and bouillabaisse. The ambiance was generally commended, with a light-filled bar area and comfortable seating. While some highlighted outstanding service, others found shortcomings in the hostess and waitstaff. Overall, Fig and Olive seems to be a hit or miss destination for diners looking for special occasions in DC, with food quality and service varying across reviews.
The hostesses were great; polite and efficient. I sat and ordered a round cocktails and to share a few small tellers. the food came easy to 10.
My friends and I decided to come here after I take photos on the mall for drinks and something to eat. overall we had a great time! first the cons:
I meet so often until they have closed the first year of the pandemic. we sat outside and had heat lamps that made it more comfortable.
Very good food and atmosphere. However, service was poor. Wait staff was slow and disappeared for long stretches of time. What could've been a great experience was negatively impacted by substandard service.
Compliments to the chef. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Atlantic salmon entre and the lamp skewers small dish. Nicely strong dirty martini made by the barkeep.
