The food at this restaurant is consistently fantastic. They offer a wide variety of dishes and drinks. I had the opportunity to try Ethiopian honey wine for the first time and it was delightful. The service was prompt and the location is convenient, with the option to take a leisurely stroll on U St afterwards. The prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend dining here. I visited this restaurant for dinner on a Friday night and had a pleasant experience! It was not too busy, so my companion and I were able to easily secure a table for two. We ordered the combination platter (I believe it was number 27) and it was a great way to sample a variety of dishes - it was also more than enough for both of us! The restaurant also offers a nice selection of drinks. Overall, the food was delicious and I would recommend this spot if you're in the mood for Ethiopian cuisine in the area.

I tried so many Ethiopian Restaurants and Dukem is one of the best! Deluxe Veggie is the ultimate experience.
I enjoyed the delicious Ethiopian dishes and the attentive service at this restaurant! The Ethiopian beer Negus was also a highlight of my dining experience.
We stopped in for a late dinner after catching a show at The Kennedy Center. Totally worth the 15 minute drive. It wasn’t at all busy, but should be. They accommodated our vegan needs with a wonderful spread of cabbage, lentils, spicy potatoes, and chickpeas. Yum!
