Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant received mixed reviews from customers, with some praising the atmosphere and outstanding service while others were disappointed with the slow service and lack of certain menu items. Despite some negative feedback, many customers enjoyed the delicious food, especially the Cuban specialties like empanadas and broccolini. The restaurant's authentic decor and prime location were also highlighted by satisfied diners. Overall, the establishment seems to offer a taste of Cuba in the heart of DC, with high-quality dishes and friendly service making it a recommendable dining option.
After trying unsuccessfully to get into Succotash and a mediterranean restaurant nearby (no I cannot wait an hour for a table) we stumbled upon Cuba Libre.
This place has totally gone downhill since my last visit from a few years.
Two years in a row we have visited when in town for an annual conference. This is always a highlight of our visit. Must try the mango butter and break. Cucumber mojitos by the pitcher are to die for!
The food and drinks were excellent! Ryan, one of the managers, took great care of us. We stayed after dinner for the lively dance party.
Really, really enjoyed our meal here. High quality, well-prepared, so delicious, high-end Cuban specialties. Excellent drink menu. Rum flights were great. Desserts were fabulous. Excellent Tres Leches and one of the smoothest, creamiest and completely lacking in air-bubbles flans I've ever had. The service was really great, the way service used to be. Highly recommend.
