What Christine R likes about Asia Nine Bar & Lounge:
I used to go this restaurant allll the time before covid. I finally got back recently. The staff is still very friendly, while being good about not hovering and constantly inquiring about the check. I love how convenient the location is (near three metro stops-Archives/metro center/federal triangle- the movie theater, and museums). Also, I've brought tons of people with me and nobody has ever disliked the food. There... View all feedback. What India doesn't like about Asia Nine Bar & Lounge:
I went to Asia Nine on a slow weekday, so the service was very quick and basic. The atmosphere was very chill by the bar where happy hour was active. We ended up splitting the HH sampler. The shrimp poppers were really good and left us wanting to order more. The one night in Bangkok drink was too sweet for my taste, but the lychee martini was perfect. The drinks and food came out pretty quickly. I definitely would co... View all feedback.

read moreAsia Nine offers a diverse Asian fusion menu in downtown DC, featuring dishes from Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese cuisines. While the food may not be exceptional, it is flavorful and varied, making it a good spot for groups or couples looking for a pleasant dining experience. The service is quick and friendly, with attentive waitstaff ensuring a smooth dinner service. Highlights include the shrimp poppers, tom yum soup, drunken noodle, and delicious spring rolls. The restaurant also has a great happy hour, making it a popular choice for after-work drinks. Overall, Asia Nine is a solid choice for those looking for a decent Asian fusion dining option in the Penn Quarter/Chinatown area of DC.

This may be the best green curry and fried rice I’ve ever had. I would absolutely recommend coming here if you are in the area.
The server attempted to bring a check when I was still eating, and I had to mention several times that I was still eating. 18% tip was automatically charged.
