The food was delicious and the waitress was very friendly. There were not very many tables and the lighting was low, so it was a nice intimate setting where we could see the chef cooking in the large brick oven. My husband had the duck and it wonderful. The only issue we had was that the portions were a little small. We ordered an appetizer, an entree each, and a desert each. We will definitely go back, but we may ne... View all feedback.
What Oline Haugaard doesn't like about Bado's Cucina:
Place is small. Staff is friendly. Foods is inventive. Problems included a very greasy flatbread. Inedible lamb. Overly sweet pizza and soup. Also expensive for what you get. View all feedback.
Amazing place to eat!. "Bados Cucina is a great restaurant serving well-prepared, delicious dishes. The menu options offer a modernized interpretation of the base-restaurant-tarife prepared and well presented. Our service was excellent and important, we were never rushed. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The ambience is modern industry, which although very attractive creates an acoustically living environment. Delish! The best restaurant in Pittsburgh PA!!!
Stan and Janet W.. years ago, my wife and I went to a resort called Mountain Lake near Pembroke, VA. At this time, the culinary students of VA Tech cook for the resort. The food was not a second and after 30 years we both remember it well. This is such a place. The food was excellent and our waitress served us well. If you want a value menu, go to McDonalds or Burger King. If you want good food, a nice evening and a good memory, go here.
Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. Yesterday evening sat there and thought the food was amazing and remained very full and satisfied. Will definitely go back!
Love it!. Wonderful food. Great service. Get reservation-it is small and cozy. BYOB. The Chef's tasting menu is soooo good. The cook even came to our table when we wanted to complicate it. He is proud of his dishes and it shows. Not cheap, but it's worth it.
Satisfying, would return. Yeah, the protein portions are small. They're also around $15, not $25. Kinda of actually like much of Italy that way the menu is designed to encourage eating multiple smaller courses instead of one big hunk o' meat. An antipasti, a pasta course and a protein should be more than filling for normal folks. Prices are reasonable, IMO, although if you're choosing your restaurants based on coupons, enough said. The roast vegetable antipasti was excellent, not too oily, veggies still had some bite to them. The salumi plate was also well assembled with plenty of cured meats and a couple of good quality cheeses, olives and a stuffed cherry pepper. The papardelle with smoked pork actually had too much pork the smoke is a strong flavor, delicious in small quantities, but a bit much after a few bites. The gnocchi was also very good. The lamb chops were a bit uneven one was cooked perfectly the other a bit too much. OTOH, the Delmar (mussels, shrimp, littlenecks) was exquisite but again probably wouldn't satisfy someone looking for volume over execution and ingredients. Corkage is a reasonable $6/bottle.
