Sidecar - Washington
Sidecar
Menu
The restaurant from Washington offers 112 different dishes and drinks on the menu for an average price of $10.9.
Nestled within the vibrant Washington Hilton, the hotel's lounge offers a mixed dining experience. While the ambiance is inviting and the signature Sidecar cocktails earn praise for their creativity, service can occasionally falter, leaving guests waiting for attention. Menu prices are on the higher side, particularly for items reminiscent of gift shop offerings. Though some dishes, like Chesapeake Hot Crab Dip and crispy calamari, receive mixed feedback, overall staff friendliness and attentiveness shine through. For those seeking convenience after a long day, the hotel restaurant proves a decent alternative, despite initial service hiccups and food quality concerns.

What Anonym dislikes about Sidecar:
We had a pleasant experience at a conference here. The lounge is located in the main lobby of the Washington Hilton. Service was very quick initially but lapsed when we had finished our drinks and apps. It took about 20 minutes to flag someone down to pay. The Sidecar signature cocktails were creative and pleasant. Great late night food if you're up past 11PM. Definitely suggest this restaurant. They also offer a great breakfast in the morning.

The buffet selection is lacking, and the food quality is average—my scrambled eggs were overcooked and dry. The service is satisfactory, but overall, I don't think it's worth the $35 price tag. It might be more reasonable in the $20 range, if that.
The staff were friendly, and my food arrived quickly. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and it was served in under 10 minutes. Another table received their meals in about 5 minutes! I've never experienced such speedy breakfast service before. The food was also delicious and priced appropriately for a hotel restaurant. However, the noise level was quite high, even with the restaurant only half full, so some soundproofing would definitely help. On the bright side, the presentation was impressive and had a very upscale feel, especially considering how quickly it was prepared.
