I make... read more I genuinely believe the brown butter chocolate chip cookies are the best cookies on earth. I live in the Midwest, but any time I’m within an hour of D.C. I make a trip to Bakeshop. If a friend or family member is visiting the area, I make them bring me back cookies in their suitcase. The brookies are also delicious, but there is nothing like their brown butter cookies. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We each got a slice of vegan... read more I was showing a vegan friend around this weekend and picked bakeshop over georgetown cupcake because there were more vegan options. We each got a slice of vegan cake and unfortunately were really disappointed. The taro cake was super sweet and you couldn’t taste the taro at all. Really wanted to like this place and appreciate the variety but we won’t be back.
