The Harrow - Warlingham
The Harrow
Description
The Harrow has garnered a mixed bag of experiences, showcasing the highs and lows of dining out. While some patrons rave about the delectable food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere, others recount frustrating mishaps, including failed reservations and subpar meals. Issues with food preparation and cleanliness have raised concerns, alongside service inconsistencies during busy periods. Yet, when the kitchen delivers, dishes like succulent pork belly and moist turkey delight diners. Overall, The Harrow has the potential to impress, but it must address its operational challenges to offer a consistently enjoyable experience for all guests.

I always order from this restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is top-notch. I give it a 5 out of 5 for both food and service. The atmosphere is also a 5 out of 5.
The drinks were served promptly, but we had to wait about an hour for our food, which was frustrating, especially since we had children with us and some guests had driven a long distance. The food was decent overall, although some items, like the chips, were served cold. The price per person is between £10-20. The food and service both received a rating of 3, while the atmosphere was rated a 4. Recommended dishes include the Fish and Chips, Fish, and Pizza.
The Harrow Inn used to have good food but, our latest trip was average at best. One of the dishes had a long hair wrapped around one of the prawns. To the staff's credit, they were great about it and quickly replaced the item for free. The vibe was typical dry, muted country pub. No real atmosphere to speak of but, the servers were friendly and polite. 2 of us shared the sticky platter which was OK, although, a bit small if your planning on sharing it as a main and the calamari was also decent. The place was clean but the glasses(or the water inside) smelled like wet pet. The person who sat us and also the 2 servers we had were all very helpful and professional. If this was our 1st time there, we definitely wouldn't rush back. Maybe, in the 3yrs since our last visit things have become worse. Or, maybe we chose poor menu options. Our bill came to £162 for 4 adults and 2 kids. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
