The busyness of the shop is usually a good indication of whether a place is any good and this one was really jumping. The fish and chips were good and the wait time was acceptable. The business has been here for a long time so I guess that is always a good sign of whether it is any good. I noticed that they also had a varied selection of hot take away Chinese meals but did not try these.

The batter this place uses... read more Yummy chips but hands down worst potato cakes ever. I dont quite know what it is.... fish is nice but the batter completely ruins it. The batter this place uses is very thick and for this reason is undercooked at times.I used to live around the corner and for some reason kept coming back. I stopped by last week after not eating from here for many months and it is still the same.

I enjoy dining here when it's open, but unfortunately it's now closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If it were to be open on any days, I would recommend Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays when takeout is in higher demand.
