Nene's Cocina - Wanaque
Nene's Cocina
Description
This local Mexican restaurant captures attention with its vibrant atmosphere and reasonable prices, yet customer experiences have varied significantly. While some patrons rave about flavorful dishes like the Cheese Birria and generous portion sizes, others find the food lackluster, citing bland flavors and inconsistent quality. Highlights include friendly service and the enjoyable sampler, perfect for sharing. However, issues with meal preparation and special instructions have been noted alongside concerns about undercooked items. Parking is a minor inconvenience, but for those seeking authentic Mexican flavors in town, this spot remains worth a visit amid its imperfections.

Stopped in for lunch today and everything was delicious and fresh! We got the sampler for 2, it came with so much food for the price point of only 32 dollars! Honestly could probably easily feed three people. Love Nenes and will be back!! Also shoutout to our waitress she was super friendly :
This restaurant offers vibrant and delicious food. The service is excellent and efficient. Prices are reasonable. The only drawback is the lack of convenient parking, but this shouldn't deter you from visiting. I was able to park across the street at an apartment complex without any issues. Once you find a spot, it's definitely worth the visit.
I am giving this restaurant 3 stars because I have ordered takeout from them since they opened. I enjoy supporting local businesses. However, the reason I am not giving them 5 stars is due to the inconsistency of the food. This is something to keep in mind before placing an order, and hopefully they can improve in the future.
I lived in El Paso, TX for four years, and this is, by far, the best Mexican food I've had outside of there. Perfect proportion of meat and veggies, and the tacos reminded me of El Paso. Very colorful atmosphere and friendly waitress. Highly recommend.
Cute spot with authentic and tasty food.. We tried the Cheese Birra, a flavorful brisket toasted taco with a beef consommé side. Yum!Courteous service, friendly! The steak tacos, nicely chopped with onions and cilantro.I like mine with guac side, and because I like lettuce, I ordered their side salad,,, surprisingly big. They dod not have flan, but next time.We had a special churros, Boston creme-filled long doughnut accompanied by melted chocolate sauce. Delicious! We will be back!
