More expensive than I expected, so would come back but for special occasions.

It’s a small place and for some reason are very rel... read more I really want to love this place but they still suffer from the same issues as before they moved to Hackney. It’s a small place and for some reason are very reluctant to use the extractor fan so it gets smoky and stinks, I came out with my hair reeking of cooking odours. Service is very slow, a roll and a burger took over half an hour to cook, despite it being the only two things being cooked at the time. Simple drinks were quick to arrive but water was forgotten, second round not ordered as couldn’t get attention of staff. Burger was lovely but brioche bun was £8 for a small roll with no side other than a few salad leaves swimming in oil. Roll tasted nice but worth half the amount. Overall, I love the ethos and the decor, the menu items are great but the package is just not there. Service is so slow and menu overpriced for what you get. If they got those two things right it would be a wonderful place.
