we held an early lunch today and what a sweet caffe. the staff was very friendly and the food was very good. we had no cheese for the kale pesto burger (for the veggie peeps). an older Hawaiian gentleman gave flowers from his farm. he had the most beautiful smile and he graciously gave up almost all with a flower. the bowls looked fantastic, so can be for one again. What Christian S doesn't like about Hawaiian Island Cafe:
Food was good but wait time was really long for someplace that didn't seem too busy. I know they did have a bunch of people that was there before me so maybe they were just catching up. Friendly service nice energy View all feedback.
We had an excellent dining experience with the waffles we ordered. The staff was very friendly and attentive!
This restaurant seems to be quite popular in the Kailua area. They offer a variety of options including sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, and Acai bowls. We tried several dishes, and the standout was the Pitaya bowl, which features a base of dragon fruit sorbet instead of Acai. The food was of excellent quality, and the service was prompt. There is a decent amount of seating available inside.
I highly recommend The Hawaiian Island Cafe! The food is amazing and all locally sourced. I tried the Aloha Plate, which was a perfect combination of local dishes. My daughter and her husband had the pork quesadillas with mango salsa, while my other daughter ordered the garlic chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious! We also got some gummy bear tea and wrapped up our meal with smoothie frappes. Be sure to stop by when you're in Oahu—you won’t be disappointed!
I stopped by for an iced coffee and was fortunate enough to snag the last piece of banana bread. All I can say is WOW! It's made locally by one of the staff members, and it was absolutely delicious! If you’re ever in the area, be sure to stop by for their banana bread!
Incredible local restaurant. We've dined here four times during our visit to Hawaii. The staff is very friendly, and it's owner-operated with reasonable prices. Everything on the menu is fantastic, and if they have banana bread, you absolutely have to try it!
