However this time the food was just OK, we would compare to that of a reasonably good pub meal. Upon enquiring it became obvious why the change in food level. The head chef James NatHan has left the hotel. It is a pity because when he was chef the food was at an exceptional level. In addition to being disappointed by the food the restaurant was unfortunately very very quiet. We ended up being the only people present by around 9.30pm and this was a Saturday evening on a bank holiday weekend.

Their was a slight hiccup in food under a previous chef (in our personal opinion) who has now gone and it is back to being superb. We can never fault it and now they allow dogs in the lounge as well as the terrace, both areas where one can eat as well as the restaurant, it is perfection!
