During... read more Today October my husband and I have been customers of Barneys fish and chip shop for many years, this is not only at the restaurant but the takeaway too! During this period we have recommended family members, friends and even strangers when asked for recommendations! But today was a different story altogether, as when we entered the restaurant an elderly lady whom was seated shouted at my poor husband telling him to put his mask on, now if this woman was of management I can not be sure, but this obviously came from someone lacking professionalism, and somewhat of little intelligence! Not only did she focus all attention upon my poor husband by other customers , but this unassuming woman frightened the hell out of me! I appreciate the fact the seriousness of the wearing of masks, but one never really knows the full story why one should make such a genuine mistake!So in short one should look before one should leap!Not Impressed!

The gravy was curry based (not what you would expect from a beef and onion pie My chips were covered in gravy, if I had wanted gravy I would have asked for it. At including chips it is a rip off. Don't bother with it!

Hands down the best f... read more We absolutely adore Barnys! The scampi is mouthwatering and the fries are fantastic. We've also tried the cod before and it was fantastic! Hands down the best fish and chips in Wadebridge. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
