Kitok's is a Waco landmark offering Korean cuisine and American classics like burgers and fries. While some diners were disappointed by the burnt bulgogi and overpriced dishes, others praised the high-quality and reasonably priced food. The small, unassuming restaurant with a limited menu has been a favorite for locals for decades. Some customers described it as their go-to spot for delicious bulgogi and oriental fries. While the food may have mixed reviews, the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere seem to keep customers coming back for more at this hidden gem in Waco.

This restaurant is a hidden gem, a local favorite. The kimchi here is outstanding. The beef and pork bulgogi is incredibly delicious. I'm happy I ordered the full size portion. While I didn't find the Oriental fries to be as amazing as others claimed, they were tasty when dipped in the provided soy sauce. The meal also includes a salad with a mayo-based dressing and a chicken soup appetizer. If we ever come back to Waco, we will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
My husband and daughter have been raving about this restaurant for 30 years, and I finally had the chance to experience it myself. This charming Korean restaurant also offers hamburgers and other sandwiches. The parking lot is rough with dirt and gravel, and the exterior of the building could use some attention. There is a small garden in front of the restaurant that could use some care. When you enter, you can see directly into the kitchen and feel the heat as you watch the chefs at work. The restaurant has only around 15 or twenty small tables, all of which are kept clean. The menu is concise, with just three delightful pages of real food options. This hidden gem is well-known to locals, and I hope it remains that way. I love everything about it just the way it is, maintaining its charm and tradition for decades.
Service was wondering, very friendly! I had the sweet and spicy pork and it was very tasty. Soup was like a chicken and potato reminded me of something your grandma would have made. Salad was fresh.
Food was quite tasty!!! Small meat portions but add-ons like small soup and salad
Recently, I visited Wake Up with my wife after 30 years. I had fond memories of their delicious burgers and oriental fries, which are thinly cut onions and other veggies fried to perfection. The food was just as delicious as I remembered, the prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant was filled with regulars who were well-known by the staff. I definitely plan on returning.
