What Twila T doesn't like about Skal:
We genuinely wanted to enjoy this place and probably should have left earlier, but we decided to stay. The hot dogs and bratwurst (served with chips!) were priced at $14. They claimed it wasn't your typical hot dog, and while that was true, it was actually smaller than most. The flavor was good, but not outstanding. Great drinks, excellent music. New menu options and new drinks circulating all the time. Really like the live bands they bring in here. The place is beautiful too. Don't go in expecting to get a full dinner, it's more snack food and apps, but they are good and the crowd is always friendly.
It 's our island 'nightclub ' with tasty small bites, great drinks and lots of familiar faces. On music nights there will be dancing. Every detail is lovely: the bar, the 'stage ' the musical line up is curated by the owner/musician Kris Davidson. If you can tear yourself away from the music and the bar, spend some time outside at small tables overlooking Carvers Pond. Its just the best!!

A hidden treasure on the island! The food, drinks, and entertainment are fantastic. Kris has done an amazing job. We can’t wait to come back every time we visit the island.

They claimed it wasn't your typical hot dog, and while that was true, it was actually smaller than most. The flavor was good, but not outstanding. The setting was nice if you chose to look out at the water, though it was full of bugs, and there were no efforts to address that issue. We ended up going for dessert at a nearby spot that we hadn't seen on any reviews, and it was fantastic. Lesson learned! I hope you have a better experience than we did.
