Taco Beach - Village of Ocean Beach

Overpriced. Menu did not specify that vegetables are fried in flour and therefore contained gluten.

Has so much potential to be good but the food is just so bad.

Mexican Street Corn appetizer was good, not great. Better than other places nearby. I also got a chicken Burrito Bowl which had way too much rice even though I asked for less okay no big deal, the shredded chicken had a good texture but lacked any complex flavor. I took it to the house and added a lot of things to make it tasty it didn't have a bad taste, just very bland and pretty expensive for what it was. The service was great, though.

Came in on Taco Tuesday for half price tacos and margaritas. Tried the birria and carne asada. We are admittedly a bit spoiled, because we have some of the best tacos at home; these were just ok. But, reasonably priced.

I would not come to this place if it wasn 't for the excellent bar service. It 's almost unbearable to be in there because they don 't run the AC. I 'm surprised people aren 't having heat strokes left and right. There 's plenty of bars to choose from on fire island, and I 'd like this one to be home due to the excellent bartenders, but if they can 't cool it down inside then my friends and I will have to have fun somewhere else.
