I made a reservation to guarantee a table for us. The staff promptly inquired whether I preferred still or sparkling water while I waited for my friend. We enjoyed refreshing mint tea and a delightful salad. They were attentive without being intrusive, striking a perfect balance. View all feedback.
What Elva Renner doesn't like about Artisan Bistro:
Only issue on our last visit was the noise level, like a lot of restaurants there is nothing on the walls to absorb the chatter. We will go again but likely not on a Friday night View all feedback.
I have eaten several times Artisan Bistro because it is easy to get and the food is consistently good.
We were very happy with the service however we felt there was no value in the food. The prawn entree salad had very small overcooked prawns and was less hearty for a dinner salad priced at $19 and the steak frites had a small portion of sliced steak with fries for $38! It is a cute bistro however the lights were fully up and they could dim the lights for dinner service to make for a more suitable evening ambience.
Love the wild salmon entree. Coconut curry prawn appetizer also outstanding.
Went for the prix fixe menu during Dine Around, and we were very impressed. Standouts were the wild mushroom soup, the beet salad and the salmon. Everything very fresh and beautifully prepared. Service was fantastic, very efficient and friendly. Will definitely go back to sample a la carte items.
Food is very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff are very friendly. Booths are nice. Central tables can get a little crowded but at the least the tables are not all jammed in like some other restaurants.
